Dogs neutering and spaying impact on pet dog behavior and Growth?

I hear that it makes a dog larger and also calms down an active dog. Is this true?

No, it doesn't make your dog larger and the only thing it calms down is the urge to reproduce and sex aggressive behavior. It will not change the personality of your dog.

Spaying and neutering reduces the risk of cancer.

I had my dog spayed when she was a puppy. She’s 6 years old now, and still acts like a puppy.

Dogs get fat from over feeding and not enough exercise not from spaying or neutering.
They are not less active after the surgery.
They do not go out and look for love all the time. When you spay or neuter you are removing the hormonal driven behaviors. So they will not try to seek out mates. As for anything else they are still plenty active and busy.
I had a doberman female who was wild and very active up until she was about 8 years old. She slowed down some then but was always thin and very active.
