What does this dog behavior mean?

When my dog goes potty or pee-pee she does this kicking with all 4 legs. I praise her when she does this b/c I think its cute. I notice that she'll slowly put her head down and then kinda collapse, roll over on her back and then squiggle and squirm on the ground. She also makes noises too, its cute and I like when she does this too. What is the meaning of this behavior?
Ok people, she doesn't roll around in her own waste. That's disgusting and I wouldn't tolerate that.

The kicking you are describing sounds like scent distrubution. When ever she does that, she is throwing her scent in the air. Male dogs can actually smell a female in heat over a mile away. Amazing :o ) She is also rubbing her scent (or some other good smell in the ground) all over herself when she is squirming around. They like to smell like ANYTHING other than a clean dog, ha-ha!

My dog does the same thing and I have no idea what it means. They do seem to be pretty happy after a good pee.

i dont think you should praise her for doing irregular behavior because it just promotes it in the future when she grows up, you should see a vet she might be in pain or this might be a regular behavior in this type of dog

This is a territorial and marking behavior. You might think its cute but it won't be cute when she rolls in human or other animal feces.

the kicking is the burial of the waste, and the head down and then colapse, rolling over on her back and squiggling is happiness she is done with her "duty"

The kicking of the legs thing is her secreting her scent from her anal glands. Even if she doesn't poop she can secret her scent.
The rolling and squirming is her getting her scent on whatever area she is rolling on.

    Hope this helps.

Some dogs pick up that kicking thing. My little dude started doing it after he saw another dog do it once-it was instantly a new habit. It looks almost like he is wiping his paws off. It looks like he is maybe trying to cover his scent (he only does this when he is going potty, not when he is marking territory).

I've heard some dogs get excited and enjoy a good roll after they go potty. Mine does it after he eats.
