My wife and I work full time and we would like to offer a weekend boarding service in our home and property, obviously it would be better to offer 7 days a week, but could a weekend boarding facility be profitable?
Not at all! That could cost a lot of money. Not only that but you need the right contracts and permits to have allow you to do some things. Dog Boarding means the dogs will live wiuht you for the whole week. That can cost money with the damge they do and all other expenses. Now just think. They will destroy things in your home. They are untrained dogs. If they were trained they would not go to dog boarding. Not just that but some dogs don’t get along. You could have a huge dog fighting problem. If I were you i would not do it.

Not when your profits must also cover the cost of a business liscence, insurance, advertising and the extra electricity/fuel you will need.

If I were your neighbor that would last 5 minutes. Kennels are zoned because dogs are NOISY.

That’s a great idea,
so many people in the summer who go away on week ends and not to their summer cottage are always looking for week end boarding
and if you provide a clean and fun environment,that would be a great small business,look into anything and everything
even asking friends who have dogs would give you a great insight
you will although have to have all sizes of crates and such,plus people can bring their own food for their dogs,and just make sure all dogs are up tp date with their shots
crate cleaning is a must,so as long as you follow what you would expect for your own dogs,it will be awesome
